About the Author

Jess Starwood is a forager, plant-based chef, and herbalist with a Masters of Science degree in Herbal Medicine from the American College of Healthcare Sciences. She regularly teaches wild food and herbalism classes in the greater Los Angeles area for adults and children and is the founder of The Wild Path, an immersive wild food apprenticeship course. She is the author and photographer of her first book, Mushroom Wanderland: A Forager’s Guide to Finding, Identifying, and Using 25 Wild Fungi, from Countryman Press.
